Crushteroid

Odds

Artifact draws are the only thing in Crushteroid you can pay for whose result is random. This page gives their exact rules. The game shows the live odds for your own pool before every draw and on the Artifact Supply offer.

Game content version p3.0-c1. The rules below come from the game server's content and code; the server decides every draw. This page is updated whenever a content release changes them.

Artifact draws

  1. You choose a pool of exactly 3 artifacts you have discovered. Your first pool is Sun Shard, Echo Lens and Iron Heart. The same pool and odds apply to every key, earned or bought.
  2. One artifact key opens one draw. A draw gives one copy of one eligible artifact from your pool, plus 5 artifact dust.
  3. An artifact is eligible while its rank plus its banked copies cannot yet reach your current rank cap. Once an artifact can be funded to the cap, it leaves the pool's odds.
  4. Every eligible artifact is equally likely. There are no rarity tiers, no hidden pity counter and no guaranteed result, and the odds never depend on what you have spent.
Eligible artifacts in your poolChance for each
31 in 3 (33.33%)
21 in 2 (50%)
11 in 1 (100%)
0 (all three can reach the cap)No draw: the key is kept. Choose another pool of discovered artifacts.

Refinery board (not sold)

The refinery is not a purchase: it processes the ore you collected. Each piece takes a path the server fixes when the flight closes, makes 8 left-or-right steps and lands in one of 9 bins. The number of right steps decides the bin, so the odds for every piece are:

BinMultiplierChance
1×81 in 256 (0.39%)
2×48 in 256 (3.13%)
3×228 in 256 (10.94%)
4×1.556 in 256 (21.88%)
5×1.2570 in 256 (27.34%)
6×1.556 in 256 (21.88%)
7×228 in 256 (10.94%)
8×48 in 256 (3.13%)
9×81 in 256 (0.39%)

Bins are numbered from left to right: 1 and 9 are the outer edges, 5 is the centre.

Average multiplier of the base board: 895/512, about ×1.75. Upgrades and artifacts change values, not these odds. A Catalyst booster (sold in bundles or for gems) multiplies one haul's refinery value by 1.5; doubling a haul adds pieces. Neither changes the bin odds.
